D\u00e8s 9 ans nous dit-on. Ce soir-l\u00e0 dans les rangs du public de La Coursive aucune t\u00eate blonde mais beaucoup de cheveux gris. Un homme houspille son \u00e9pouse de l\u2019avoir tra\u00een\u00e9 voir un ballet quand une dame glisse \u00e0 son voisin qu\u2019elle a tout vu du chor\u00e9graphe aixois. Pour ma part cela fait quelques ann\u00e9es que j\u2019ai cess\u00e9 de suivre ses productions dont j\u2019estimais l\u2019inspiration tarie depuis son poussif <em>Blanche-Neige<\/em> (2008) pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant rest\u00e9 sur les vifs souvenirs de ses pi\u00e8ces que j\u2019estime ma\u00eetresses\u00a0: <em>Noces <\/em>(1989)<em>, Annonciation <\/em>(1995)<em>, MC14\/22 <\/em>(2001),<em> Near life experience <\/em>(2003).<\/strong><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Avec <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">La Fresque<\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">, j\u2019ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de reprendre contact avec l\u2019univers prejlocajien. Tellement peu au fait de son actualit\u00e9, je ne sais rien de la pi\u00e8ce, n\u2019en ai eu aucun \u00e9cho, m\u00eame pas du microcosme de la danse contemporaine que je c\u00f4toie, lui aussi ayant l\u00e2ch\u00e9 le chor\u00e9graphe depuis belle lurette, le raillant m\u00eame parfois.<\/span><\/p><p>C\u2019est donc le jour-m\u00eame que je d\u00e9couvre que <em>La Fresque<\/em> s\u2019inspire d\u2019un conte. Grand amoureux des lettres, Angelin s\u2019est d\u00e9j\u00e0 attel\u00e9 aux \u00e9crits de Charles Perrault, aux <em>Milles et Nuits<\/em> sans oublier les hommes de lettres Jean Genet, Pascal Quignard, Laurent Mauvignier ou encore William Shakespeare heureuses sources d\u2019inspiration en leur temps.<\/p><p>Du conte asiatique du XIII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle intitul\u00e9\u00a0<em>La Peinture sur le mur,<\/em> <em>La Fresque: l&rsquo;extraordinaire aventure <\/em>jette dix danseurs dans un r\u00e9cit sur le pouvoir \u00ab surnaturel \u00bb du geste pictural. Le sc\u00e9nario met en avant un jeune homme qui marche avec un ami et doit s&rsquo;abriter dans les ruines d&rsquo;un temple pour \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la pluie. Dans ce lieu, il tombe sous le charme d\u2019une femme repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e sur une fresque murale. Au point de traverser l\u2019image et d\u2019y vivre une formidable histoire d\u2019amour o\u00f9 la symbolique du cheveu f\u00e9minin, soyeux fantasme, trouve place de choix.\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">\u00ab\u00a0Derri\u00e8re cette m\u00e9taphore qui traverse le conte chinois se profile la question de la repr\u00e9sentation dans notre civilisation et la place de l\u2019art dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\"> r\u00e9sume Preljocaj voyant l\u2019occasion de porter un regard sur la jeune g\u00e9n\u00e9ration fascin\u00e9e par les mondes virtuels.<\/span><\/p><p>En une dizaine de tableaux, le chor\u00e9graphe retrace, dans une dramaturgie \u00e9pur\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019extr\u00eame, les grandes lignes du conte aid\u00e9, comme \u00e0 son habitude, d\u2019une \u00e9quipe 4 \u00e9toiles\u00a0: aux costumes Azzedine Ala\u00efa, \u00e0 la musique Nicolas Godin du groupe Air, \u00e0 la sc\u00e9nographie Constance Cuisset qui con\u00e7oit un ballet aquatique du plus bel effet fait de chevelure en images. Sans oublier aux lumi\u00e8res le travail sobre et \u00e9l\u00e9gant d\u2019Eric Soyer. C\u2019est peu de dire que la partition chor\u00e9graphique d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans ce bel \u00e9crin est tr\u00e8s, tr\u00e8s en de\u00e7\u00e0.<\/p><p>Que <em>La Fresque<\/em> reprenne, comme des clins d\u2019\u0153il, des motifs et des th\u00e9matiques tir\u00e9s du r\u00e9pertoire du chor\u00e9graphe (la pr\u00e9paration au mariage, la naissance du couple \u2026 ) n\u2019est pas en soi d\u00e9plaisant mais la pi\u00e8ce n\u2019en reste pas moins le pot-pourri d\u2019une grammaire qu\u2019applique l\u2019artiste depuis une bonne dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es. Le chor\u00e9graphe affirmait avec <em>La Fresque<\/em> chercher \u00e0 renouveler son vocabulaire, tenter une nouvelle \u00e9criture en allant vers l\u2019\u00e9pure et la simplicit\u00e9 mais la pi\u00e8ce n\u2019\u00e9chappe pas \u00e0 ce besoin d\u2019\u00e9pate lisse autant que froide. La gestuelle est virtuose, cisel\u00e9e, impeccablement interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par une troupe. C\u2019est beau et puis\u00a0?<\/p><p>Et si l\u2019esth\u00e9tique d\u2019Angelin Preljocaj \u00e9tait aujourd\u2019hui calcifi\u00e9e, devenue recette magique pour des World Tour sold-out\u00a0?\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Le chor\u00e9graphe reconna\u00eet lui m\u00eame avoir deux axes de travail\u00a0: la recherche fondamentale o\u00f9 il approfondit un certain type de mouvement, une certaine qualit\u00e9 dans une approche presque math\u00e9matique, abstraite. Recherche qui aboutit \u00e0 des pi\u00e8ces dites exigeantes mais pour le coup passionnantes telle <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Empty moves<\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">. \u00a0Et puis il y a la recherche appliqu\u00e9e qui se r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 ses pi\u00e8ces narratives ultra-l\u00e9ch\u00e9s, ronronnantes plus que d\u00e9tonantes.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Il fut un temps o\u00f9 ces deux recherches donnaient naissance \u00e0 de vrais chefs d\u2019\u0153uvres\u00a0: <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Le Parc, Rom\u00e9o et Juliette<\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\"> \u2026 aujourd\u2019hui ces deux mondes semblent herm\u00e9tiques l\u2019un \u00e0 l\u2019autre.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Oui d\u00e9cid\u00e9ment je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">\u00ab\u00a0gestes vides\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\"> de Monsieur Preljocaj \u00e0 tous ses contes tir\u00e9s par les cheveux.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>C\u00e9dric Chaory<\/strong><\/p><p><strong style=\"font-style: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">\u00a9Jean-Claude Carbonne<\/strong><\/p><p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Une Fresque tir\u00e9e par les cheveux La Fresque, cr\u00e9ation 2016 d\u2019Angelin Preljocaj, est la premi\u00e8re pi\u00e8ce du chor\u00e9graphe \u00e0 s\u2019adresser au jeune public.
