Sorte d\u2019hommage (l\u2019\u0153uvre date de 1913) \u00e0 une composition musicale ayant r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 les codes et imposant des \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00ab&nbsp;antisymphoniques&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Etonnamment, le chor\u00e9graphe anglais d\u2019origine bengalie, ne reprend pas la composition d\u2019origine afin d\u2019en faire sa version chor\u00e9graphique. Il a demand\u00e9 aux compositeurs Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Pook et Ben Frost, d\u2019\u00e9crire une partition tout \u00e0 fait originale inspir\u00e9e et guid\u00e9e par celle de Stravinsky. Les ruptures originelles apparaissent, en quelque sorte, \u00e0 travers les diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments sonores constituant cette cr\u00e9ation. Entre musiques \u00e9lectroniques, chants folkloriques, instrumentations classiques, les notions de mort, de chaos et de sacrifice s\u2019imposent. Th\u00e8mes inh\u00e9rents \u00e0 la condition humaine \u00e0 laquelle fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence le chor\u00e9graphe dans sa pi\u00e8ce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Entour\u00e9 d\u2019une incroyable \u00e9quipe de onze danseurs, tous aussi justes les uns que les autres, et de collaborateurs artistiques exceptionnels<em>, <\/em>Akram Khan avec<em> iTMOi<\/em> met la barre haute.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ouverture est tonitruante. Un pr\u00e9dicateur v\u00eatu de noir d\u00e9verse son discours, le crie, le scande sans que jamais on ne puisse comprendre r\u00e9ellement ce qu\u2019il dit. Ce ne serait sans compter la d\u00e9charge physique qu\u2019il met \u00e0 dire. Travers\u00e9 de spasmes, de gestes tranchants, son corps d\u00e9charge une \u00e9nergie vengeresse donnant le ton \u00e0 tout ce qui va suivre.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Dans le chaos g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, il va falloir trancher. Sacrifier pour que l\u2019ordre r\u00e9apparaisse. Pour que le monde tourne rond \u00e0 l\u2019image de cette reine, de sa robe cloche qui aspire, d\u00e9vore ou cache ses sujets. Akram Khan pousse les \u00e9lans de cr\u00e9ation propres \u00e0 l\u2019homme. Cr\u00e9ation permanente d\u2019une chose et de son contraire. Celui qui se croyait le plus libre au d\u00e9but de la pi\u00e8ce se verra priv\u00e9 de sa libert\u00e9, \u00e0 la fin de cette derni\u00e8re. Image incroyable de cet homme encord\u00e9, emm\u00eal\u00e9, manipul\u00e9 par ses semblables qui n\u2019a de libert\u00e9 que la longueur des liens qui le retiennent.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9lans sont aussi la mati\u00e8re chor\u00e9graphique dont s\u2019empare Akram Khan et ses danseurs. Il y a dans sa danse cette imperturbable force et puissance, cet ancrage inexorable li\u00e9 au kathak. Toutes ces qualit\u00e9s sont pouss\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019extr\u00eame pour y trouver fluidit\u00e9 et&nbsp; rapidit\u00e9. &nbsp;S\u2019ajoutent, \u00e0 ces moments de fulgurance, de gestes collectifs balayant l\u2019espace et le temps, des moments de relatif apaisement, de respiration souvent nou\u00e9e. Le fil d\u00e9roul\u00e9 depuis le d\u00e9but de la pi\u00e8ce se tend lentement. La rupture n\u2019est pas loin. En t\u00e9moigne cette b\u00eate \u00e0 deux cornes qui rode. L\u2019heure du sacrifice approche.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><em>iTMOi<\/em> nous plonge dans une histoire du monde, de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, faite de fractures. De morts physiques et de naissances spirituelles. Port\u00e9 par des danseurs d\u2019une g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 exceptionnelle, Akram Khan nous livre ici, une po\u00e9tique du chaos. Tout semble empreint de ces composantes. Contradictoires, oppos\u00e9es, il nous les donne en partage. Rien n\u2019est tout \u00e0 fait beau ou laid.
