Famili\u00e8re des performances la danseuse et chor\u00e9graphe d\u2019origine madril\u00e8ne, La Ribot rencontre une autre danseuse et chor\u00e9graphe la fran\u00e7aise Mathilde Monnier. Ensemble, elles cr\u00e9ent ce spectacle qui n\u2019est pas vraiment un objet chor\u00e9graphique non identifi\u00e9, mais plut\u00f4t une forme originale d\u2019entretien, au travers duquel elles abordent des th\u00e8mes comme la mort, \u00eatre artiste, \u00eatre femme, la repr\u00e9sentation.<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Tous ces th\u00e8mes sont trait\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re burlesque, ludique avec beaucoup de s\u00e9rieux. Comme s\u2019 il \u00e9tait indispensable \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9 de se poser les bonnes questions. Sc\u00e8ne sur la sc\u00e8ne, de grands rideaux noirs derri\u00e8re lesquels elles peuvent se cacher, appara\u00eetre et dispara\u00eetre avec plus ou moins de surprises, red\u00e9finissent l\u2019espace. Au sol une sorte d\u2019\u00e9norme tissu noir recouvre le plateau. Celui-ci devient une mati\u00e8re palpable, mall\u00e9able sous lequel on peut l\u00e0 encore se cacher, se faire oublier ou susciter l\u2019\u00e9motion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Mathilde Monnier et La Ribot s\u2019en donnent \u00e0 c\u0153ur joie dans l\u2019exploration de cet espace qui avec peu d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments, g\u00e9n\u00e8re gags et s\u00e9quences compl\u00e8tement loufoques. Du personnage pr\u00e9tentieux s\u2019\u00e9coutant parler sur la mort et surtout sur celles des autres, \u00e0 celui qui une planche \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9paule va et vient et dont chaque changement de direction est propice \u00e0 renverser l\u2019autre sans s\u2019en rendre compte, les ressorts comiques apparaissent clairement. L<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">es qualit\u00e9s de ces propositions et leur incarnation permettent au spectateur d\u2019entrer dans cette danse si particuli\u00e8re. Car c\u2019est bien de danse dont il s\u2019agit ici, quand bien m\u00eame des univers artistiques diff\u00e9rents peuvent s\u2019y glisser.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Le corps est un pr\u00e9texte \u00e0 exposer, \u00e0 s\u2019exposer et souvent \u00e0 exploser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Une main sur un genou retroussant un pantalon, devient quelque chose d\u2019essentiel dans l\u2019affirmation de soi, dans ce que l\u2019on donne \u00e0 voir, et dans ce que l\u2019on projette chez l\u2019autre.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Ce duo complice et malicieux joue avec les conventions du th\u00e9\u00e2tre et de la repr\u00e9sentation tout en ironisant. Juch\u00e9es sur deux tabourets, elles s\u2019accrochent aux rideaux et s\u2019amusent \u00e0 y rester le plus longtemps possible&nbsp;; autre jeu, celui d\u2019\u00e9noncer des v\u00e9rit\u00e9s (fruits d\u2019un imaginaire d\u00e9bordants au r\u00e9alisme parfois percutant) sur la femme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Toujours debout, sur ces tabourets en fond de sc\u00e8ne, elles scandent tour \u00e0 tour puis ensemble, ce qu\u2019est une femme. La parole rebondit sans cesse de l\u2019une \u00e0 l\u2019autre, l\u2019une sur l\u2019autre.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Elle s\u2019entasse, s\u2019ajoute, s\u2019annule, se soustrait. Ponctu\u00e9e par des gestes grandiloquents, anodins, grima\u00e7ants. Les corps expulsent, des histoires de femmes se tissent&nbsp;: des femelles animales, des femmes politiques, des femmes polic\u00e9es, mais aussi des femmes \u00e9coeurantes, exasp\u00e9rantes, m\u00e9chantes et\/ou belles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Gustavia<\/em> pose la question de l\u2019artiste et de l\u2019art en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, en prenant des routes et des virages \u00e0 des degr\u00e9s vari\u00e9s. Avec cette pi\u00e8ce, Mathilde Monnier et La Ribot donnent la parole (verbes et silences confondus) \u00e0 leur corps de m\u00e9tier et bien au-del\u00e0.
